In collaboration with the Women in Manufacturing Association, Xometry conducted our fourth joint annual survey on career advancement and women in the manufacturing sector. We surveyed more than 900 respondents to better understand the manufacturing workforce, including recruitment and retention strategies and overall satisfaction with manufacturing careers.
The survey revealed key insights about the state of manufacturing, including:
- Nearly 80% of women are pleased with the strides they’ve made in manufacturing, up from 62% in 2020
- More than 80% of women recommend a career in manufacturing
- The overwhelming majority of men and women believe diversity in manufacturing improves business outcomes
