Every two years, the International Manufacturing Trade Show (IMTS) heads to Chicago, filling the Windy City with industrial professionals, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists interested in learning about the companies and technology changing the manufacturing sector.
For a few more days this week, you can find Xometry and Thomas in the West Hall at booth #433224. Xometry’s digital manufacturing marketplace and Thomas’s supplier services are the perfect combination for IMTS. Whether you’re a buyer or supplier, we have all the services you might need — from commercial supply chain solutions to helping reach a diverse set of buyers.
Get an Instant Laser Tube Cutting, Bending Quote
Xometry is at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) for building accurate pricing models and lead times. Recently, we launched quoting for laser tube cutting and bending on the Xometry Instant Quoting Engine®. We’re the first digital marketplace to achieve this feat.
At Xometry’s IMTS booth, you can chat with our expert team about getting a laser tube cutting and bending quote, but you can also see Xometry’s capabilities in action with a special part made by The Fabrication Series (TFS) using Xometry.
Helping Companies, Customers Help Themselves
At Xometry, we want to help customers and businesses optimize their processes. That’s why we built Teamspace, an on-platform way for team members to view and collaborate on quotes and orders. Whether you're a purchaser, engineer, quality, or management, the Teamspace tool brings transparency to Xometry projects.
On day four of IMTS, Xometry’s Director of Applications Engineering & Marketing, Greg Paulsen, also hosted a session on various manufacturing processes, as there are more options than ever when it comes to manufacturing. During the session, “Should I Print, Mold, or Machine This Part?” Paulsen explored the strengths and trade-offs of additive manufacturing, molding, and CNC machining.
Offering Commercial Supply Chain Solutions
With our vast supplier network of over 10,000, we ensure quick lead times while maintaining quality. But at IMTS, we really wanted to emphasize that Xometry does more than rapid prototyping.
That’s why, at our IMTS booth, we’re showing off Ryvid’s Anthem electric motorcycle, which is full of Xometry-made parts. We made every custom molded, sheet metal, and die-cast component on the bike.
Catch Xometry at the Formnext Stage
On Friday, September 13, at 2:45 p.m. CT, Paulsen will join Ken Burns from GKN Additive and Michael Parks from GZERO Additive on the Formnext IMTS Stage for a panel discussion on additive manufacturing services. During the panel, attendees will learn about the fastest and most affordable way to get into additive manufacturing.
